A block west of MacLeod on Southland,Bowest RV is staffed by RV enthusiasts with years of RV'ing. We're all here to keep the fun in your RV experiences.
Bowest was founded in the spring of 1973 near the banks of the Bow River on the then Western outskirts of Calgary. Our first site was very near the present location of the interchange joining Sarcee Trail with the TransCanada Highway.
Most folks think that the name Bowest is a contraction of Bow & West to reflect the firm's origins. Right?
Maybe. But a good generation after Bowest's founding, scholars of the language would point out that ending a word with 'est' is to make a superlative. Words like best, nicest and friendliest come immediately to mind. So consider that 'Bowest RV' may mean 'the most Calgaryest RV'.
Is this really true? I don't know. But knowing the folks who look after the customers at Bowest RV, it certainly could be.
